Akina Eman is an emerging Jamaican recording artist whose sound sits at the intersection of R&B, Reggae, Neo-Soul, and contemporary Pop. Since officially launching her professional music career in April 2019, during her first year of university, Akina has steadily built a catalogue defined by emotional clarity, vocal precision, and a strong sense of storytelling.
For Akina, music is a spiritual medium, a way to connect to self, to others, and to something greater. That philosophy is evident in every release. She was recently signed by UK based label-Outdeh Records – and her growing discography highlights a clear upward trajectory. Most recently, she released “Long Way” (February 11, 2026), with an upcoming release of another single – “Gravity” - on April 2, 2026. In 2025 she released “For You” (May 9, 2025), and her second EP called “Slumber Tapes” on October 29, 2024. Earlier releases such as “Proud” (2024), “Chance” (2023), and her debut “Grand Rising EP” (2021) with her single “Sultry” (2019) showcased her consistency and commitment to refining her sound.
With dream collaborations that include James Fauntleroy, Frank Ocean, and Doechii, Akina Eman represents a new generation of Caribbean artists grounded in soul, expansive in vision, and ready for the world stage. She offers a rare combination: a culturally relevant voice, and an artist whose trajectory is not only promising, but already in motion.
