Where are the venues?

Eight of the ten festival venues are all located within a minutes’ walk of each another at the Truman Brewery site, across Brick Lane and Ely’s Yard, E1. In addition to these venues, Rich Mix and Mad Cats are a 4-5 minutes walk from the main festival site and Village Underground is 12 minutes by foot from the main festival site. Shows are staggered accordingly to allow time to walk between the main site and these venues. You can download the festival programme with a map here.

Can under -18s attend the festival?

Each venue has its own age policy, with most but not all venues accepting under 18s.

People under 18, including children of all ages, are permitted to enter the festival until 19:00 on all days, at the following venues & stages:

  • Ninety One

  • Juju's Bar & Stage

  • Rough Trade East

  • Rich Mix

  • Tomorrow’s Warriors Stage @ Brick Lane Tap Room

  • Cafe 1001

  • Flow State Hub & The Nord Stage

Live shows at Village Underground (the Main Stage) are strictly over 16 and each 16-17 year old must be accompanied by one responsible adult. Club nights are 18+.

93 Feet East operates a strict 18+ policy at all times.

All under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 26. This MUST be the parent, legal guardian or nominated guardian of the young person. An adult over the age of 26 can accompany a maximum of 4 children or young persons.

Children under 16 can attend Brick Lane Jazz Festival Free of Charge (please bring photo ID for proof of age) 🙂

We also operate Challenge 25 so all 18+ should ensure they carry photo ID.

Venue Capacities

Our festival capacity is based on the combined capacity of all paid-entry stages. (this does not include our DJ stages and our free-entry venues).

As with any event, some performances will be extremely popular and may reach capacity quickly. If you arrive in a queue for a performance that is about to start, it is very unlikely that you will gain entry once a venue is full to capacity and a show has started.

We strongly recommend moving on once a venue has reached capacity rather than waiting in a standstill queue. There will always be space at other venues and you may find some exciting new music. Please treat security and staff with respect. They are here to ensure your safe experience.

During the weekend the event site is likely to be busy, please don't congregate in queuing spaces - instead, please enjoy the venues, terraces and beer gardens!

TICKETS AND REFUNDS

Can I get a refund for my ticket?

We offer a 24 hour cooling off period on all ticket purchases, during which you can get a full refund. After this, tickets are non-refundable.

What ID will be accepted?

Any legal form of photo ID (driver's license, passport, ID card) will be accepted to verify tickets, buy drinks and enter age restricted venues. Please ensure you bring the physical copy of your ID as photos of IDs on phones will not be accepted.

Security & Bag Policy

All guests may be required to show a valid form of ID and will be subject to bag search upon accreditation. We kindly ask that you refrain from bringing oversized bags to the event.

ACCESSIBILITY

All festival venues are fully accessible with the exception of Ninety One. Please refer to our accessibility page here for more information.

TABLE BOOKINGS

All our festival venues will operate a free seating policy over the course of the weekend (no bookings available).
