Alison Farmery
Help Musicians
Alison has had a long career in international media, working at Time Magazine, the US broadcaster NBC, BBC News and BBC Studios, and Universal Music Group before joining Help Musicians and Music Minds Matter.
Her background in sales, marketing, and business development has equipped her with the ability to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time in a visually compelling way. Combined with her longstanding commitment to putting clients at the heart of her work, this experience has prepared her well for her second career in the third sector, particularly in philanthropy.
Alison is competitively driven and prides herself on consistently meeting her targets, even in challenging circumstances—when she believes creativity and resilience matter most.
She has three adult children, all of whom are musicians. Outside of her work raising funds to support musicians and those working in the music industry, Alison enjoys running, long-distance walking, open water swimming, yoga, tennis, and playing the guitar.
