Cassius Cobbson is an Artist, Multi-Instrumentalist & Producer who plays piano, drums, guitar and bass guitar. He leads his own band under his own name which he fronts on Piano/Keyboard taking you through a mix of genres ranging from: Jazz, Afro Beat, Electronica, R&B and Fusion. Drawing his influence from a mix of genres and favourite artists, Cassius is heavily influenced by the world and sound around him, which has molded his musical taste and continues to draw for new sounds in the hope of creating a new sound of his own. Some notable artist of inspiration are: Carlos Santana, Michael Jackson, Jimi Hendrix, John Coltrane, The Notorious B.I.G, Queens Of The Stone, Moses Boyd, Kamaal Williams, Yussef Dayes, DJ Maphorisa, Goldie, Royal Blood to name a few.
Cassius released his anticipate debut album ‘SANKOFA’ in August 2023 consisting of 8-Tracks and remakes of his first two debut singles ‘LDN’ and ‘AKWAABA’ released in 2022. ‘AKWAABA’, Cassius’ first single has had strong support and had featured on the ‘Robert Elms Show’ on BBC London Radio as part of the BBC Introducing Series curated by BBC Radio 1 host ‘Jess Izatt’. Burning with bright energy out of North London-UK, Cassius is ready to take the world by storm with his exciting new music upon the horizon and is an exciting new talent to come out of London!
