Eriksson Kaner is one of the monikers of Leif Kaner-Lidström, a composer and pianist from South London. Born into a musical family, Leif began playing piano at 7 and wrote his first piece at 10. Since then his music has had the support of Elton John, Jamz Supernova, and Moses Boyd on BBC Radio, and Worldwide FM.

Eriksson’s Kaner’s music has been described as a cinematic odyssey of music, inspired at its roots by classical form and melody. Through-composed compositions, with folk-like harmony and soulful rhythm shining through. As well as performing in Australia, Vietnam and Europe with classical stars, Jess Gillam and Anne Sofie Von Otter, Eriksson Kaner’s releases see him firmly rooted in London’s New Jazz scene.

His debut, “Ithaka” was a collaboration with Sacha Create, and feature luminaries such as Kaidi Akinnibi, James Akers, and Rudi Creswick, while his sophomore release “The Purpose” features James Mollison, and Alex Cosmo Blake. Both records have been released through the label he founded with up-and-coming producer Mom Tudie, Lordship Loft Recordings.
