Juju’s Bar & Stage
A music lover and curator first, Esk is the voice of Wednesday mornings on London's legendary Rinse FM. The Oxford-born DJ and broadcaster has carved out a space as both tastemaker and trusted voice—operating at the intersection of underground discovery and established excellence.
Formerly a resident on Worldwide FM, he found his voice interviewing future stars including IAMDDB, Knucks, Elmiene and RUBII early in their journeys, alongside in-depth conversations with artists he grew up listening to—Maverick Sabre, Charlotte Day Wilson, Bashy, hip-hop royalty Talib Kweli, and respected broadcasters Benji B and Gilles Peterson.
On the dancefloor, Esk refuses restriction. Although rooted in hip-hop, his instinctive, off-the-cuff selections move through broken beat, house, jungle and R&B—balancing club weight with soulful deep cuts.
From iconic London spaces including Tate Modern, KOKO, Printworks and Somerset House to festivals such as Glastonbury, We Out Here and Boomtown—taking on late night rooms across Toronto, New York and Japan—Esk has grown into a global selector with a distinctly UK foundation.
In 2022, he launched Passionfruit—now a club night and record label—teaming up with global acts like Deekapz, Kareem Ali and Planet Giza in his home city while platforming emerging UK talent such as Douvelle 19 and Wilfy D, including a special takeover at Glastonbury's Shangri-La.
Brick Lane Jazz Festival is joining forces with Tomorrow’s Warriors as our charity partner for the 2026 edition of the festival. We have worked together to create a unique opportunity to give back to the music community, having an impactful and lasting effect on the emerging UK Jazz talent. Donate now by clicking below:
