British singer-songwriter Kyra, has quickly established herself as a key player in the UK music scene. Her unorthodox and gripping releases from debut EP project 'Xanadu', caught the attention of BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, featuring in his 'track of the week' series, Jamz Supernova's BBC1Xtra Top 5 EPs and Jess Izsatt for BBC Introducing.
Showcasing her charismatic and distinct soulful vocal, Kyra released a selection of jazz infused singles; 'after the love', 'blossom spring' (playlisted on Jazz FM) and 'excellent', a self care song created in ode to her beloved sister circle. 2023 became an exciting year of continued success for Kyra, with the release of her second EP 'as things grow', with tracks featured on various editorial streaming playlists such as New Music Friday, and Riffs & Runs on Spotify, as well as Brown Sugar and New in R&B on Apple Music. The EP was also championed by BBC Radio London’s Robert Elms, with a live radio performance of ‘grown’, the lead single from the latest project.
Kyra’s music has been amplified with an array of live shows across the UK, including a spellbinding Jazz Re:freshed showcase and performances at iconic London venues such as Jazz Cafe, Lafayette, Koko Camden, Soho House and Southbank. A Wilderness festival performance lending vocals to UK Jazz favourites Blue Lab Beats, led to Kyra and the duo collaborating on new music together, further cementing Kyra’s presence within the burgeoning London Jazz scene.
