Born from the heart of the London underground, n22 quartet is the latest outfit to emerge from the 22a record label, a family-first collective synonymous with "Future Jazz Groove" and raw, honest musicianship.

Led by multi-instrumentalist and label boss Ed Cawthorne (Tenderlonious), the quartet bridges classic spiritual jazz with the contemporary London scene currently reigniting the world stage

The Lineup

Tenderlonious (Saxophone/Flute): The visionary founder of 22a and a leading figure in the UK jazz renaissance, known for his restless, exhilarating live style and global collaborations.

Hamish Balfour (Keys): A "dream team" collaborator whose piano and synth work ranges from "chic open solos" to "hazy electric piano" textures.

Peter Martin (Bass): Providing the essential low-slung, "pocket-perfect" foundation that defines the signature 22a groove.

Tim Carnegie (Drums): Driving the ensemble with a focus on "high-tech grooves" and the "sizzling cymbals" required for both introspective jazz and driving dancefloor numbers.

N22’s debut record will be coming out later in 2026.
