Poly-Ritmo is a London-based DJ, musician, broadcaster, and curator bringing heat to the hips and feet with vibrant selections from around the globe. A devoted collector and crate-digger, her passion for telling stories through music began at age ten, when she began making mixtapes for friends and family. That spark grew into a lifelong passion for sharing music—one that took root while working at the iconic Sounds of the Universe record shop. Driven to dig deeper, she went on to study Ethnomusicology at SOAS, nurturing a nuanced, research-driven approach to her craft. This deep knowledge shines through her DJ sets where her selections are soulful, percussive and eclectic, often including zouk, Brazilian boogie, broken beat, soukous, salsa, disco and soca.

Poly-Ritmo’s played at iconic festivals and venues such as Rio Carnival, Glastonbury, Giant Steps, GALA, We Out Here and Magnetic Fields. She’s also toured India, Brazil, Europe and Australia—as well as playing sets in Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, Albania, Ibiza and Thailand. She made her Boiler Room debut in 2020 hosting a Brazilian session with live performances from Marcos Valle, Sabrina and Alex Malheiros, Ivan Conti and Kassin.

A beloved presence in the radio world, Poly-Ritmo has hosted shows on Worldwide FM, NTS, Foundation FM and Na Manteiga, and her My Analog Journal mixes have racked up millions of views. Beyond the decks, she co-founded the much-celebrated Basket of Light festival—a 3 day music and arts festival with live music, DJs, workshops, theatre and lighting installations currently in its fourth year.

Brick Lane Jazz Festival is joining forces with Tomorrow’s Warriors as our charity partner for the 2026 edition of the festival.
