Sanoy is an Italian-Ethiopian DJ, musician, and artist whose musical journey began as a bass player before naturally evolving into DJing. His approach to music is deeply rooted in rhythm, groove, and cultural curiosity, shaping a distinctive sound that draws from across the global underground.

Through his radio show on Refuge Worldwide, Sanoy shares an eclectic and carefully curated selection of music from around the world, reflecting his passion for cultural exploration and sonic storytelling.

As a performer, Sanoy brings focused energy and a refined musical sensibility to the dancefloor. His sets move fluidly across genres and eras, blending soulful house, African boogie, zouk, disco, and left-field rhythms with an instinctive feel for groove and atmosphere. Rather than chasing trends, his selections are guided by deep musical knowledge and a genuine love for records.

A regular presence in the East London scene, Sanoy has been a monthly resident for nearly a decade at The Jago. He has also performed at Free Your Funk, sharing line-ups with artists such as Danilo Plessow, Hugo LX, Daryl Jones and Another Taste.

Sanoy’s growing reputation has also brought him to festival stages, including multiple appearances at We Out Here Festival, where his dynamic selections and dancefloor sensitivity have made him a returning guest.
