From Profit to People: Reimagining the Role of the Artist & Communities in Today’s World

Saturday 25th April • 12:00-13:30 • Flow State Hub, Ely’s Yard, E1 6QL

Artist and community leader Jaden Osei-Bonsu, aka Eerf Evil, delivers a keynote-style conversation exploring the social responsibilities of artists in contemporary culture.

Positioned at the intersection of music, community organising and social justice, this panel reflects on how artists can operate beyond purely commercial frameworks. The session considers how creative practice intersects with grassroots initiatives, mutual support networks and local infrastructure.

By reframing artistic success in terms of collective impact as well as individual gain, the talk sets a reflective tone for the day’s programme.
