Tru Thoughts are a Brighton based record label that turn 25 in 2024. A&R, DJ and radio presenter Robert Luis, and co-owner Paul Jonas, started the label alongside running club nights in Brighton. They have released a huge variety of music covering Electronic, Jazz, Soul, Broken Beat, Hip Hop & Grime, and Downtempo. Artists on the label new and old have included Alice Russell, Hot 8 Brass Band, Moonchild, Quantic, Flowdan, Bonobo, Ty, Ebi Soda, Steven Bamidele and WheelUP. Their truly eclectic tastes is reflected in their policy that “good music is good music”.
On Saturday 27th April, they’ll takeover ‘The Loft’ at hi-fi bar Cafe 1001, bringing through a lineup of selectors:
