Despite a rapid rise over the past 12 months, Wilfy D has been no stranger to the UK dance scene for several years now. His distinctive sound, primarily drawing influence from R&B and Soul, has evolved into a standalone take on the sounds that have embodied British club culture in the 21st century.
Wilf’s foundation was established via modern UK Garage staples such as Strawberries and 90’s Baby, with releases on Soulection and Nervous Records cementing his place as a key member of the genre during its recent resurgence. Now pioneering a new wave of UK Funky, Wilf’s afro house / amapiano infused sound has left an influence across the music industry in 2025 at an underground and commercial level.

Having been recruited by Jorja Smith to remix her single ‘The Way I Love You’ (alongside frequent collaborator Jordss), Wilf was called up by Aitch to help produce the focus track of his latest album (4) – ‘COL4 BODY’ (featuring Tiggs da Author). With both track’s releasing on the same day, 20th June 2025 proved to be a landmark point in his career to date.

Wilf’s recent solo productions, such as ‘IDKW’ and ‘DAY&NITE’, have received widespread support from tastemakers globally. The success of both singles led to Spotify making Wilf they’re RADAR First Listen artist for October 2024, as well as Beatport earmarking him as a ‘One To Watch’ DJ during the same month. His first collaborative releases ‘In My System’ (featuring Benjiflow) and ‘UNO MAS’ (featuring Jay Prince) further shifted the dial, leading to both records being championed by the likes of Keinemusic & Diplo, as well as reaching the BBC Radio 1Xtra C-List playlist (following multiple DJ Target premieres).
Wilf’s wider catalogue has seen a huge array of support from DJ’s and fans alike, rewarding him with cosigns from Adam Port, Maya Jama,Tiffany Calver, Jeremiah Asiamah, DJ Day Day, Conducta, DJ Majestic, Disclosure, Joe Kay and Annie Mac amongst others.
The now London based artist is further an established DJ in his own right, and has performed across several historic live locations including Glastonbury Festival, Motion, The Saatchi Gallery, Love Saves The Day, The Cause, Tola, Lakota, The Old Red Bus Station.
As well as his work in the dance music space, he continues to produce for a range of artists including Jaz Karis, Miraa May, Eliza Rose and many others. Wilfy even came 2nd place in Jammer’s Top Producer competition, where participants were challenged to produce in a range of styles. Wilfy continues to leave his mark on the UK scene, seamlessly blending the past with the present.
