Work Money Death is the formidable improvising collective behind Tony Burkill’s standout 2017 debut on ATA Records. Featuring drummer Sam Hobbs (The Electric Doctor M, producer of Matthew Bourne’s Moogmemory), bassist Neil Innes (The Sorcerers, The Lewis Express), multi-instrumentalist Richard Ormrod (The Sorcerers, The Library Archive) and saxophonist Johnny Richards (The Sorcerers), the group crafts expansive, improvised compositions steeped in the spiritual lineage of Pharoah Sanders and Alice Coltrane.
