Building a Community Sound System

Join Eerf Evil and Steeze Factory in the courtyard at 91 Brick Lane as they complete and test the Brick Lane Community Sound System — the culmination of a two-week collaborative build at Brick Lane Jazz Festival’s home: The Truman Brewery.

The project has explored the technical and communal dimensions of constructing a sound system, from assembly and calibration to collective ownership. Participants will witness the final stages of the project and experience the system in action.

Rooted in traditions of community-led sound culture, the session emphasises collaboration, accessibility and shared creative infrastructure.
