Jazz Education for the Next Generation: Why It Matters

Saturday 25th April • 14:00-15:00 • Flow State Hub, Ely’s Yard, E1 6QR

Join the UK’s leading jazz talent incubator, Tomorrow's Warriors for a discussion on access and equity in music education, and why it is so fundamental to the future of jazz.

As a long-standing talent development organisation, Tomorrow’s Warriors has championed inclusive pathways into jazz through training programmes, mentorship and performance platforms. This panel examines why structured education and community-led support are fundamental to sustaining this genre.

The conversation addresses barriers to entry, representation within music education and the long-term importance of nurturing young musicians. It situates education not as an adjunct to performance culture, but as its foundation.

Speakers:

  • Binker Golding —- Jazz artist, composer, and Tomorrow’s Warriors Music Leader

  • Adrian Newman —- Head of Lambeth Music Service

  • Romarna Campbell —- Jazz artist, composer, and Tomorrow’s Warriors Music Leader

  • Moderated by: Gabriel Starkey —- Tomorrow’s Warriors Learning Producer
