Talk & Live Demo with Prince Fatty

Thursday 23rd April • 13:30-14:00 • Flow State Hub, Ely’s Yard, E1 6QR

Solid State Logic

For decades, Solid State Logic (SSL) has been synonymous with professional studio technology. In this hosted introduction and demonstration, SSL present an overview of the company’s tools and their role within contemporary recording, mixing and production environments.

The session offers attendees the chance to engage directly with the team behind the brand, gaining insight into SSL’s approach to console design, audio interfaces and studio workflow solutions. Through live demonstration, the event will explore how SSL technology integrates into both large-scale commercial studios and smaller project setups, reflecting the evolving needs of modern producers and engineers.

Designed for musicians, producers and audio professionals alike, the session provides practical context around signal flow, sonic character and production standards — alongside an opportunity to connect with the creators of one of the most established names in studio audio.

Prince Fatty

Solid State Logic is delighted to host Prince Fatty for a captivating live dub performance where the mixing console becomes the instrument.

A leading figure in modern dub, Prince Fatty (aka Mike Pelanconi) is a renowned producer and engineer known for bringing classic reggae and dub techniques into a contemporary context, working with artists including J Dilla, Graham Coxon, The Brand New Heavies, and Nostalgia 77.

In this session, he builds and reshapes a track in real time—flinging faders, riding sends, and pushing effects to the creative edge—turning engineering into a raw, undiluted, live performance.

Blurring the lines between jazz and dub, it channels a shared spirit of improvisation and spontaneity, where instinct drives every move, and no two mixes are ever the same.
